Patients with diabetes can have Diabetic food. When a patient has too much glucose (aka sugar) in blood for a long time this can cause foot problems. With time it can damage nerves or blood vessels. This kind of complications can cause ulcers and infections. When it is not controlled properly, it can even lead to damage to organs or amputation.  

Causes

  1. Poorly fitted shoes
  2. Poorly controlled Diabetes
  3. Infections like Athlete’s foot, Ingrown toenails
  4. Smoking

Symptoms

  1. Chronic pain
  2. Redness around feet or skin discolouration
  3. Fever & chills
  4. Numbness (loss of feeling)
  5. Muscle Weakness
