Overview

Injury that occur during sports or exercise are called Sports Injury. Sports injuries can occur due to overuse, direct impact, lack of conditioning, excessive exercise and improper form or technique. Warm-ups are crucial to heating up muscle tissue and imporve flexibility. Exercise without warm-up can lead to serious injuries. Bruises, sprains, strains, joint injuries and nose bleeds can happen from sports injuries.

TREATMENT

If injury is mild, patient can follow RICE treatment. Where RICE stands for

  2. ice
  3. compression
  4. elevation

If injury is severe, you must contact an orthopedician immediately. Serious sports injuries can require surgery and physical therapy.
